Terms of Service

If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, do not use the website. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

IRC is an open educational platform for discovering, downloading, and sharing Islamic educational resources. Contributors may upload materials subject to review. Administrators may approve, reject, or remove content. Features may change over time as the platform evolves.

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and account activity.
• Usernames must be unique and may not impersonate others or mislead the community.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the community.

When you upload a resource, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the rights and permissions needed to share the material.
• You have indicated copyright/credit information accurately, including third-party attributions where required.
• The content is appropriate for an educational community and lawful to distribute.

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting content, you grant IRC and Al-Kisa Foundation a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, and promote the material on IRC and related educational channels for the purpose of operating and improving the service. This license ends when the content is removed from the platform, except for reasonable backup/archival copies retained by infrastructure providers.

You agree not to:

• Upload malware, spam, or content that violates law or third-party rights.
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others.
• Attempt to bypass security, access controls, or rate limits.
• Scrape or bulk-download the site in a way that impairs service for others.
• Misrepresent affiliation with IRC, Al-Kisa Foundation, or other entities.
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation unrelated to educational sharing.

Resources may be pending, approved, or rejected. Administrators may edit metadata, remove content, or restrict access to protect quality, authenticity, copyright, or community safety. We are not obligated to publish any submission.

Resources are provided for educational purposes unless otherwise noted by the contributor. You must respect copyright, licensing, and attribution requirements shown on each resource. IRC does not transfer copyright in third-party materials to you. Download and use is at your own discretion and risk.

Optional donations may be processed by third-party providers such as Zeffy. Those transactions are governed by the provider’s terms and privacy policy, not these Terms alone. Embedded feedback or external links on the site are provided for convenience and may be subject to separate policies.

THE SITE AND RESOURCES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IRC AND AL-KISA FOUNDATION DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IRC, Al-Kisa Foundation, AND THEIR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IRC, Al-Kisa Foundation, and their affiliates from claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

You may stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the service. Sections that by nature should survive termination (including licenses granted for already-published content, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise. You agree to attempt good-faith resolution by contacting info@islamicresourcecorner.com before initiating formal proceedings. Nothing in this section limits non-waivable rights under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance, except where further consent is required by law.
